Since I started shooting with Patrick last year I haven’t posted very much of my personal work. Since Luft is both a photography and design company I haven’t known where to put it, so I’ve just kept it for myself and let it sit on my personal hard drives, which always inevitably end up crashing (I have terrible luck with such things). But then I was thinking tonight about how  business is completely personal… Here at Luft we have a name and a logo that can come off  kind of corporate-looking. But at the heart of it we are three friends that love what we do. And me? Tonight I’m a mom that’s insanely proud of my daughter for finishing her first year of dance. When we showed up to the Marina Civic Center I did not plan on taking any pictures of her. (Seriously, I was dead-set against it.) But at the last minute I threw a camera body in my bag and decided to take a few candids backstage. I’m so glad that I did because it completely captures this time in her life. And when she stood on-stage taking her bow I was one incredibly proud mommy.
