It’s that time of year when parents around the country pack up their kids and hit the beach. To many in the South this means vacationing at one of the Gulf Coast’s powdery white beaches. The Helson family has made their pilgrimage from Tennessee to Panama City Beach every year for over a decade, adding on new passengers every so often – just to keep the car ride entertaining.
This year I met up with the family of six early one morning before Patrick and I headed to Pensacola for Carrie and Travis’ wedding. The diverse personalities among the children kept me on my toes and made for some playful portraits. The aquamarine waters were a beautiful backdrop as they splashed along the edge of the water. While the little one got a ride from her daddy, the boys spun in circles and showed me how big they were (very, very big).
We hope that they’ll look at these photographs long after the sand is out of their toes (and their car) and remember their vacation fondly. Helson Family- we hope to see you the next time you’re headed Florida bound and down!
